To make the process as simple and quick as possible, we have put together the Trace Website Questionnaire. This questionnaire helps with focusing everybody on what the website will be used to communicate. For example, will the site be an online shop, or an information portal, will there be a forum so that visitors can post questions, and do you want a blog?
With this information, we will contact you with a ballpark quote based on the responses to the questions.
To ensure that you get the website you want we will have a face-to-face meeting, or with our overseas clients we often make use of video conferencing software. At this meeting, which often lasts between one and two hours, we discuss the specifics of the site. We want to make sure that the website we deliver is the website you want.
Within a few days we will send on details of the website, both the features that are requested, designs, and a cost to implement all of them.

Depending on the complexity of the website we aim to have a first version of the site on our development server within two weeks. Although for highly customised themes or websites that require custom development work the lead time will vary accordingly. This website can be viewed by you. Although often we will put in place protections so only authorised users can view the page to ensure it is not seen by competitors until it is finished.
From this point on we keep a development version of the website up-to-date. This allows you to see the changes as they are put in place and it also enables you to test the site safely, without any fear of putting something in the wrong place.
When all the features are complete and all the final design tweaks are put in place, we transfer the site to the domain in question and the hosting package. For your security we recommend that you maintain control of the hosting and the domain, this ensures you have full control over the project once it is live.
